Track work safety training (safety) is a mandatory basic training for working in railway areas, focusing on safety regulations, risks and traffic safety.
The Finnish Transport Agency (Väylävirasto) requires occupational safety card training for those working on the track or in other railway-related jobs.

Can be granted to those aged 16 or over with no upper age limit for expiry.
Participation in the training requires sufficient English language skills.
The duration of the training is 8 hours.
The participant knows how to move and work safely in and around the railway enviroment without causing danger to railway traffic, themselves or others..
An exam at the end of the course that the student must pass.
The training is valid for five years from the date of issue.
The training is renewed by taking the training again after five years.
