This course builds on the essential, life-saving skills from the 4-hour course and goes further — adding first aid for fractures, spine injuries, and joint injuries and sprains. It’s completed entirely online, at your own pace, and you can start right after ordering.

Who is this course for?
The course works well for anyone who wants to build on their first aid skills, and it’s a particularly good fit if you’re looking to refresh knowledge you already have — for example after completing the 4-hour course previously.
What’s the difference between this and the 4-hour course?
This 8-hour course covers everything in the 4-hour Emergency First Aid course, plus a broader range of injuries and medical situations:
- Musculoskeletal injuries, including fractures and spine fractures
- Joint injuries and sprains
- Head injuries and concussion
- A wider set of sudden illnesses: breathing difficulties, chest pain, cardiac arrhythmias, stroke, fainting, seizures, diabetes, and allergic/anaphylactic shock
What does the course cover?
The content is organized around two core areas:
Emergencies
- How the body works, and how to recognize an emergency
- First aid for an unconscious person
- Adult CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation)
- Choking and airway obstruction in adults, children, and infants
- What to do when an emergency or accident happens
Accidents and sudden illness
- Wounds, bruises, and shock
- Musculoskeletal injuries: fractures, spine fractures, joint injuries, sprains, head injuries, and concussion
- Burns and traffic accidents
- Sudden illnesses: breathing difficulties, chest pain, cardiac arrhythmias, stroke, fainting, seizures, diabetes, and allergic/anaphylactic shock
How does the course work?
As soon as you order, you’ll receive your participation link and login details by email. You can then work through the course at your own pace on a computer, tablet, or smartphone — though we recommend sticking to one device throughout rather than switching partway through.

How long is my certificate valid?
Once you complete the course, your Emergency First Aid 8h certificate is valid for three years.
Can I also get a physical card?
Yes, if you’d like one. A plastic first aid card is available for an additional 15 € + VAT when you order.
Is there a group price?
Yes. A group of 10 participants costs 1150 € + VAT in total. For larger groups, get in touch and we’ll help you plan a package that fits.
