Track Work Supervisor basic training, level 1 (RTV)

RTV level 1

The Track Work Supervisor basic training gives you the skills to work in the role of Track Work Supervisor in work carried out in the railway area. In the training you learn how to plan and carry out track work, how to hand the work area back to traffic, and the safety procedures for the different stages of the work.
During the training you will also learn to use the RUMA training environment as part of the Track Work Supervisor's duties.
Implementation of the training
  • Mode of instruction: face-to-face instruction
  • Duration of training: 5 days
After successfully completing the training, the participant receives the Track Work Supervisor level 1 qualification.
 
Pre-requisites
Participants must have:
  • Finnish language skills
  • A valid Track Work Safety Competence (TURVA)
  • The Basics of the Railway System (PERA) training
    (PERA can be replaced by a valid work qualification)
  • At least six (6) months of practical work experience in field tasks related to track maintenance or construction
  • Suitability for the Track Work Supervisor role
    (the Track Work Supervisor role has a significant impact on traffic safety)
  • RUMA user credentials for the Track Work Supervisor role
  • Finnish Transport Infrastructure Agency extranet credentials for the rail information service
  • Age 18–68 years
The required credentials (RUMA and the Finnish Transport Infrastructure Agency extranet) must be applied for before the training starts.

How do I sign up for the RTV Level 1 training?

  1. Choose the training day – 📅 Choose a course day that suits you from the calendar on the right of this page. Once you have selected a date, the training time appears below the calendar.
  2. Choose an online course and add participants – 💻 Click ”Online course” to fill in the participant's details. 👥 If you are registering more than one participant, click ”Add participant” and enter their details.
  3. Add the course to the cart and pay – 🛒 Click ”Add to cart” to add the participants to the training. 💳 Go to the checkout to fill in the billing and payment details and confirm the registration.
