🧯 Evacuation drills for workplaces – ensure safe and effective action in emergencies

Suomen Turvallisuusopisto Oy organises evacuation drills for companies and communities all over Finland. The aim of the drills is to make sure that staff know how to act correctly in situations that require urgent evacuation – such as fires, smoke alarms or other dangerous situations.

Why is an evacuation drill important?

An evacuation drill is an essential part of the workplace's emergency plan implementation and occupational safety. The drill is used to:

  • verify how staff act in an emergency

  • test that the escape routes work

  • identify possible areas for improvement in the safety arrangements

  • improve the organisation's preparedness for real emergencies

A drill designed for the customer's needs

Every evacuation drill is planned individually according to the customer's operations, premises and number of staff.
The drill's difficulty level and content are defined based on the participants' preparedness. If needed, we also prepare evacuation instructions and update the emergency plan in connection with the drill.

Delivery and feedback

The drill is carried out according to a plan drawn up in advance.
Taking part are a drill leader and the necessary number of observers, who follow the activity and record their observations.
After the drill, the participants receive feedback and a summary report, which can be used to develop safety further.

Evacuation drill as part of wider safety coaching

An evacuation drill can be combined with other safety coaching, such as initial fire extinguishing training or a safety walk. We carry out drills all over Finland – easily, effectively and tailored to your organisation's needs.
