Suomen Turvallisuusopisto carries out occupational safety risk assessments and hazard identification services for companies and organisations. Identifying the hazards at the workplace and assessing the risks ensures a safe working environment and healthy working conditions. Staff are well, and production and services run smoothly.
At the workplace, it is necessary to systematically identify the hazards and adverse factors arising from the working environment and working conditions. If it is not possible to completely eliminate the hazards, their significance for the health and safety of employees is assessed; in other words, the magnitude of the risk is determined and measures are taken to reduce the risk to a manageable level or eliminate it completely.
The decision to carry out the risk assessment is made by the company's management. Management commitment is needed to ensure sufficient resources, to decide on the measures taken on the basis of the assessment and to follow up so that the assessment continues.
