Fundamentals of the rail system training (Pera) – take the course remotely
Fundamentals of the railway system (Pera) - Training is required 📌 as construction consultants, supervisors, safety coordinators, and track maintenance personnel.
Training in the basics of the railway system is not required if:
✔️ The person has a valid work permit issued by the Finnish Transport Agency or
✔ The person has at least 5 years diverse work experience in railway system-related tasks.
📌 The extent of work experience is assessed The Finnish Road Administration. Application must be submitted to the Finnish Road Administration’s registry office.
📎As an attachment reliable description of work experience (e.g. work certificate).
🎯Age limit: at least 18 years old, But there is no upper age limit.
The purpose of the training
📌 Allows Basic information from the rail system and operates as a general education for those working in the railway sector.
⚠️ Forms the overall picture railway environment Safety requirements and -culture.
🔄 Helps the participant to apply theory in practice and to understand the effects of their own activities on the working environment.
Duration of training
📚 24 lessons:
✔️ 16 h theory
✔️ 8 h a practical field day to be conducted virtually🌿🚉

Requirement for granting the qualification
✅ The training is approved when the self-assessment regarding it has been completed.
Validity of the qualification
📜 Basic training in the Rail System (PERA) - is valid for now.
⚠️ Training does not lead to qualification.
Upgrading of skills
🔄 Training is renewed by going through it again Every 5 years.
