ATEX training teaches how to work safely in explosive atmospheres, which primarily occur in production and storage operations in the energy, chemical, and pharmaceutical industries. An explosion hazard can be caused by a chemical or gas leak or fine metal dust. The course operates flexibly online at your own pace.

For whom is the training intended?
The training is intended for everyone working in, or near, explosive atmospheres. The employer must assess and classify the explosive atmospheres themselves in accordance with the instructions of the Finnish Safety and Chemicals Agency (Tukes) and the ATEX Directive — the employer must arrange for their employees to participate in the training.
Participation in the course does not require any previous experience or knowledge, but it is also equally suitable for those with more experience in maintaining their knowledge.
What does the course include?
The course provides the necessary theoretical knowledge to support safe work, including practical tasks for testing knowledge. The content is divided into three parts:
Explosive environments
- Legislation and requirements
- ATEX explosive atmospheres and methods of combating them
- Proper marking of the premises
Explosion protection document
- What explosion protection is and what benefits it provides for employees
- Good practices in document creation
Safe working in an explosive atmosphere
- Qualifications requirements for staff

- Responsibility distribution in matters belonging to the emergency response
How long is the validity of the qualification?
After completing the course, the qualification is valid for five years.
Is the course available for groups?
Yes. For larger groups, we offer ATEX training as a custom-made training course in three different ways:
- Online training package (10 people): 1790 € + VAT
- In-person training or webinar : 2590 € + VAT / group, plus certificates and registration 15 € / participant
The content of the training is always designed to meet the situation, risks, and needs of your target organization—aiming to establish regulations, explosive atmospheres, space classification, the selection of the right work tools and equipment for Ex areas, and protective measures through practical group work.
