SPR First Aid Course EA2® — webinar

The SPR First Aid Course EA2® deepens and expands the knowledge and skills learned in the basic course. As a new addition, it includes, among other things, examination and treatment of an injured patient as well as procedures in a multi-patient situation. The course consists primarily of practical exercises and is conducted as a real-time webinar in Microsoft Teams.

  • Optional option: plastic card 15 € / person
  • Duration: 8 lessons (45 minutes each), divided over 1–2 days
  • Requirement: valid SPR Emergency First Aid Course EA1® certificate
  • Within the Kelan reimbursement circle

Is there any prerequisite for the course?

Yes. You can only participate in the SPR First Aid Course EA2® if you have a valid SPR First Aid Course EA1® certificate. If your EA1 certificate has expired, you must first retake the basic course.


What is new in the basic course compared to EA2?

EA2 deepens the skills learned in the basic course and adds, among other things:

  • Research and treatment of stroke patients
  • Tactics and methods in a multi-patient situation

How is the webinar conducted?

The training will be conducted as a real-time webinar in Microsoft Teams, led by the instructor. You will receive detailed instructions on how to participate in the registration confirmation. Since the course consists primarily of practical exercises, the instructor will also guide the exercises and their completion over a remote connection.


What does the course include?

The content of the course covers expanded first aid skills:

  • Emergency first aid refresher
  • Resuscitation of a child, a baby and a drowning person
  • Preliminary assessment: event data and injury mechanism
  • Assessment of consciousness, breathing and circulation
  • Relocation and emergency transfer of the assisted
  • First aid positions and monitoring
  • Fractures, spinal cord injuries and head injuries
  • Cold-related injuries (burns) and hypothermia
  • Illnesses caused by heat
  • Mental First Aid
  • Group-specific adjustments if necessary

Who is leading the training?

Those responsible for the training are the emergency care workers who work in their primary job, ambulance drivers and nurses working at the hospital level. Our trainers have trained companies in the industrial, electrical, service, and office sectors, as well as healthcare facilities with their staff, and the course content is tailored to take into account the conditions of your workplace and the risks of accidents.


How long is the EA2 certificate valid for?

The certificate is valid for three years after the approved performance.


Can I continue with the EA2 qualification later without having to take the entire course again?

Yes. The SPR Emergency First Aid Course 8 hours® or 4 hours® is also suitable for repeating the EA2 qualification. With these emergency first aid courses, you can extend the validity of your once-valid EA2 certificate for three years — this requires that you present a valid EA2 certificate.


What is included in the price?

  • Registration and mobile certificate
  • Optional physical card: 15 € / person

Is the training covered by the Kela reimbursement scheme?

Yes. According to the Occupational Safety and Health Act, employers have a duty to provide first aid at the workplace, and first aid training is an essential part of preventive occupational health care. Kela can replace the reasonable and necessary costs of first aid training organized for up to 60 % employees for the employer.

The condition for the reimbursement is that:

  • The company has a statutory occupational health care arranged
  • The employer has documented in the action plan that first aid training will be provided to the personnel, including the method of delivery.
  • The trainer is a healthcare professional with additional training in first aid — our trainers meet this requirement.
  • Compensation is up to 60 % of the costs, within the limits of the Kela decision and the annual maximum amount

Is the course also available as a short-term training course?
