What skills does the course provide?
After completing the course, you will be familiar with the key regulations regarding electrical safety and the SFS 6002 standard, understand the hazards of electricity, and know the correct operating procedures, working methods, and maintenance practices.
What does the course include?
At the beginning of the training, the dangers caused by electrical accidents and electric shocks, arc flash hazards, and electric and magnetic fields are explained. After that, the regulations related to performing electrical work are reviewed, as well as work organization and responsibilities. During the day, safe working methods in various electrical, operating, and maintenance tasks are explained.
The content is divided into seven sections:
The dangers caused by electricity
- Electrical shock, arc flash and other hazards, as well as electrical work accidents
- Action in a low- and high-voltage accident
- Legislation and standards
Protection against the dangers of electricity
- Principles of basic and fault protection
- Work methods, tools, personal protective equipment and protective clothing
- Warning and prohibition signs
Responsibilities of responsible persons and organization of electrical work
- Electrical equipment responsibility person (SLV), operator supervision person (KVH) and supervisor of electrical safety during work (STV)
- People and electrical qualifications work in the electricity sector
Working tension-free
- General requirements, complete isolation, and preventing the connection of voltage
- Establishing and implementing stress-free work sites
- Protection from nearby high-voltage parts, as well as starting and stopping work
Tension work
- Principles of tension work
- Working in the immediate vicinity and outside the immediate vicinity
Measures related to commissioning and maintenance
- Operational procedures, measurement, testing and inspection
- Maintenance practices, repair and replacement work, as well as temporary interruption and termination of work
The course ends with a recap of safe electrical work.
How long is the qualification valid for?
After completing the course, the electrical safety card is valid for five years.
Can I have a physical card?
