First aid course online – complete EA1 regardless of location

The online first aid course is conducted as a webinar. 

FRC First Aid Course EA 1® (16 h) is The Finnish Red Cross (SPR) approved certified training, from which you will receive the qualification for the EA1 First Aid card. 

In the first aid course online, you learn basic information and skills for helping in emergency, illness, and accident situations.

Registration for the FRC First Aid Course EA 1® (16 h) webinar

Choose the day that suits you from the calendar on the right side of the page. After selecting a date, the date of the training and the number of available places will appear below the calendar. 

Select “Online Course”, after which you can start typing the participant’s details. You can add more participants at the same time by clicking “Add Participant” if necessary.

By clicking the “Add to cart” button, you can add participants to the first aid course and then proceed to the checkout. 

On the checkout page, you can fill in the billing information, payment methods, and, if necessary, the delivery address for the first aid card, if you wish it to be delivered to a different address than the billing address.

Kela reimbursement for first aid training

According to the Work Safety Act, all companies and employers have a duty to ensure emergency preparedness at workplaces.

Under certain conditions Kela under the Health Insurance Act, health insurance can reimburse the employer for the costs of arranging first aid preparedness, such as the costs of the employee's first aid training.

Our training programs are Training program of the Finnish Red Cross appropriate, our trainers have ETK qualification and our first aid course is Eligible for compensation at the Social Security Office.

FRC First Aid Course EA 1® (16 h) webinar: delivery

The first aid course EA1 is conducted in the Microsoft Teams application. 

You can participate in the training directly in the browser, and no applications need to be downloaded. 

The supported browsers for MS Teams are Microsoft Edge, the latest version of Chrome, and the latest version of Firefox. 

More detailed instructions can be found in the confirmation email received in the participant's email inbox. 

The link to the webinar will be sent to the participant's email before the start of the training.

Duration of online training

The online First Aid course EA1 lasts 16 lessons (16 * 45 minutes) and is divided into two consecutive days. 

The training starts on both days at 8:30 a.m. and ends at 3:30 p.m.

  • Recognizing the unconscious person and first aid
  • pressure-ventilation resuscitation and the use of a defibrillator
  • first aid for someone who is choking
  • stabilizing the large bleeding in the limb

  • First aid for the most common wounds and burns
  • First aid for joint injuries and fractures
  • Other accidents (electric shock, eye injury, nosebleed, head injury)
  • First aid for poisonings
  • Prevention of accidents
  • promoting health
  • mental first aid

Necessary hardware

To participate in the first aid training webinar, you need an internet connection and a computer, tablet, or smartphone with a working camera and microphone.

Trafi record from the first aid course

Completing the First Aid Course EA1 online can give you two (2) Trafi records. 

The Trafi label is a professional qualification label for driver continuing education.

To get the Trafi records, tick the “Trafi record” box when registering for the training and enter your Finnish personal identity code in the field that appears next to it.

In addition to the course price, we charge Trafi's registration fee of € 13 (VAT 0%) and a € 4 handling fee for the follow-up training day.

Taking first aid courses in other languages

We also offer EA1 first aid training in English as a webinar.

Renewing the FRC First Aid Course EA1

After completing the first aid course online, you can later renew your card once (1) for four (4) or eight (8) hours with the Emergency First Aid course approved by SPR. 

If you have already completed the First Aid Course EA1 or EA2, it is advisable to complete the renewal of the card with a shorter emergency first aid course.

Card delivery

The first aid card EA1 is mailed to the delivery address provided during registration.

The FRC First Aid Course EA 1® (16 h) webinar gives you the EA1 qualification issued by the Finnish Red Cross. The training lasts 16 lessons and is completed over two days. The training days are consecutive.
